The HHCA Board has agreed to cancel the HHCA Meeting scheduled for April
9, 2020. It important that we follow the directives of the President of
the United States and the Governor of the State of Ohio in the request
to follow social distancing and not gather.
These are unusual times and our hope for all is to get this virus
figured out and kill it off. Then return to our normal – with a far
greater respect for what that is! It will happen.
We have lots of great things planned for this spring and we will have to
see how many of them we will be able to follow through on.
For now – the Banner take down, clean and rehang scheduled for Saturday
April 18 is still on. I will report back to you if that changes. The
April 25 clean up is on as well but the City of Newark will expect me to
report back to them soon on our verdict to hold it or cancel it.
Neighborhood clean up can literally happen to a lesser degree any day.
On a warm day – grab a trash bag, gloves and pick up paper, cans and
bottles. Need to find some – walk the street or by the rail road. Put
the trash bag in your trash. Good for you to do that!
Things are changing very quickly … in fact daily and in an effort to inform the HHCA public of upcoming events, postponements and cancellations – I ask that all of you check in with the HHCAOHIO.com or Historic Hudson Community Association Facebook sites. It is the quickest way we can share information.
Jose Cabral – Chemistry professor at The Ohio State University, HHCA Trustee and head of the HHCA communications committee ask that we post this information as a great source to find accurate information:
The COVID-19 pandemic is now widespread in Ohio, and new cases are projected to increase. Out of an abundance of caution and care for our community members, HHCA continues to monitor the situation and make adjustments as appropriate. We wish for all our neighbors to remain healthy and safe, and invite everyone to visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html (U.S. Center for Disease Control) and https://ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/site/media-center/news-and-events/questions-about-covid-19 (Ohio) to become more informed about risks and best practices.
Please be safe.
