HAPPY NEW YEAR…… 2020 promises to be a good one and I am looking forward to our proposed projects and events.
We have our first membership meeting of the new year on January 9 at 7:00 pm at the USW Hall at 350 Hudson Ave. Newark. It will be a fun one as we get ready for our favorite event of the year the Chicken Noodle Dinner and Auction fund raiser and plan for our annual activities.
The dinner is critical to our organization as it funds our proposed projects for the entire year as well as the scholarship. Moreover – it is a fun event to invite friends, relatives and neighbors to gather with us for fellowship, laughs, great food, auction finds donated by local businesses and service providers. There is also some great silliness with trivia and music to enjoy. Of course, kids are a big part of HHCA families and gatherings and we will have Goody Bags to hand out to the kids who attend. Silent, Ticket and Live Auctions…… it’s easy to participate and if you don’t know how – we’ll teach you.
CHICKEN NOODLE DINNER & AUCTION Saturday, January 25 – 4:30 – 6:30 pm … full dinner and drinks included in the price of a ticket. Adults $10 Children $5 plus you have the opportunity to buy delicious desserts for just $1. Guaranteed….. we will fill you up!! Location: 587 Mt. Vernon Rd Newark, OH Central Christian Church Fellowship Hall (downstairs – elevator available if needed)

2020 Projects: Swing Set installation and park spring prep at North Street Park, Banner Cleaning, Median Planting and Maintenance, Spring Neighborhood Clean-up, Picnic in the Park, Memorial for B-25 Plane Crash Project, Neighborhood Yard Sale. You can help a little or head a project…. Let us know at a meeting what you would like to do. Remember to mark your calendar for the 2nd Thursday of each month for our 7 pm meetings.
